This month, we're proud to announce our donation of $1,950 to Bountiful Food Pantry, a public non-profit organization that works to relieve hunger and increase the self-sufficiency of Davis County residents living in need.
The Bountiful Food Pantry (BCFP) has been a beacon of hope for local families since the 1970s, evolving from a small closet operation to a vital organization serving all of Davis County. This holiday season, they need our support more than ever as they strive to relieve hunger and empower the community toward self-sufficiency.
The BCFP operates a 7,500-square-foot warehouse, where they receive and distribute over 2,000,000 pounds of food annually, equivalent to more than 1,700,000 meals. In the fiscal year 2023 alone, they served an astounding 17,811 household visits, representing 64,216 individuals.
Beyond providing essential sustenance, the Bountiful Food Pantry goes the extra mile by addressing the diverse challenges faced by its clients. They actively work to break down barriers to accessing existing programs and resources, offering assistance with shelter arrangements, enrollment in educational programs, urgent dental needs, transportation, and more. Their commitment extends beyond immediate hunger relief to fostering holistic well-being in the community.
